Only one event comes to mind when bunching these all American essentials together – Independence Day! This summer highlight brings about parades, cookouts, and thrilling entertainment. It’s also a moment to cherish with your family as we honor and celebrate the birth of our great nation. Texans are no strangers to celebrating their independence and freedoms, so we decided to take you on a journey throughout Texas to discover the best Fourth of July events our great state has to offer!
Fort Worth’s Fourth, Fort Worth, TX-This event is one of the biggest family friendly Fourth of July bashes in North Texas. Located on the Trinity River and Panther Pavilion, families can go tubing in the cool water while listening to live music on the shore. Your children will absolutely love the KidZone, which includes zip lines, water slides, pony rides and interactive exhibits. Also, be sure to stop by the Al Boenker Insurance booth for some free goodies and a chance to win a Yeti cooler, tumblers and other great merchandise!
Kaboom Town, Addison TX – If you’re a sucker for spectacular fireworks shows than this is the place for you! This fireworks show was named #2 in the country by yahoo.com and is ranked as one of the top fireworks displays in the country by USA Today and The Wall Street Journal. That’s not the only thing this venue has to offer. Enjoy lots of family fun, including a fun family games, a full carnival, amazing concessions and an airshow featuring stunt pilots.
Independence Day Celebration, Houston, TX – This prominent Houston celebration kicks off with a grand parade that showcases patriotic floats and honors local heroes. The other festivities are held in Stevenson Park where over 50 booth entries, rides, games, food, and live entertainment for the entire family will take place. And for the grand finale, the celebration concludes with a colorful fireworks extravaganza!
July 4th Austin Symphony Concert and Fireworks, Austin, TX – If you’re looking for a more relaxed and romantic evening, then check out this great outdoor event. Bring your picnic gear and spend the evening listening to the Austin Symphony play classic patriotic hits complete with a fireworks display over the Austin city skyline.
Woodlawn Lake Celebration, San Antonio, TX – This event is a melting pot for different attractions and interactive events. You and your family can participate in the 1k and 5k marathons as well as the Children’s Red, White and Blue parade. They also host a carnival and military appreciation space where you can give thanks to our troops. Enjoy live music, great food and cap off your night with, you guessed it, a dazzling fireworks show!
